What The Editor Has To Say...
by  Derek Brandon

The Editor at work! There’s been an unprecedented amount of things happening since the May newsletter and we’ve tried to get as much news in as possible, so once again, please be patient if your article is still not here - it will be!

The big thing missing was ‘Edale’, of course - but Bryn & Stuart Williams put a weekend on and that’s here. Dave ‘Frets’ Bresnen has put not one but two USA bands on and Lou Reid & Carolina is our lead article; more on Sharon Cort & New River Ranch next time. Also the Chris Moreton Trio has played twice and a picking day went off at a new venue - Oldham - but they will have to wait until September.

Julie Cross has sent in a nice report on King Arthur’s showcase at Chester - sorry to disappoint her on the lack of picture background on Arthur’s photo!

Pete Mackie now prepares special versions of the NWBN for blind people - their computers read it to them. If you know anyone interested please let us know.

I’ve done a lot of work on the Newsletter Internet ‘web site’, which I’m told is looking really excellent, and the Newsletter, including your articles, adverts, etc., is being read world-wide via the web pages. We can put more detail here than in the hardcopy newsletter.

Once again Pete Mackie will be driving the next issue - please help him out all you can by getting news and articles to him - quickly!!!

One plea - if anyone out there would like to help out by typing up manuscripts on a fast turn-round basis - preferably someone on Write to and with a fax if possible, then please speak up!!!! No pay, but you’ll get a ‘feel-good’ factor. (Shut up, Derek - we can’t afford the space...)
