4 Oct: June Carter Cash's Daughter Found Dead

Montgomery County officials say they have found the bodies of Rosie Nix Adams and Jimmy Campbell in a parked bus near Clarksville, TN. News reports say Adams was the 45 year old daughter of June Carter Cash and second husband Richard 'Rip' Nix. Campbell is said to have been for 40 years the fiddle player with The Sideman, a group of Bluegrass session players based in Nashville.

Officials have termed the deaths suspicious, but the two may have died of carbon monoxide poisoning from propane or kerosene heaters on the bus. Sheriff's department officials day emergency medical personnel found needles, pipes and other drug paraphernalia on the bus near the bodies. Autopsies are planned.

Bill Knowlton <Udmacon@AOL.COM writes clarifying Jimmy Campbell/Rosie Nix deaths:

"In spite of the media sensationalism when Jimmy Campbell and Rosie Nix were found, and about all the "drug paraphernalia" around, the coroner announced tonight that both died of carbon monoxide poisoning. They were renovating an old tour bus and had a couple of propane heaters on board to keep off the chill. It was a tragic accident."
